The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie paid a surprise visit to The Light Nursery, Primary and Secondary School during their graduation ceremony on 22nd July 2025 to rejoice with them.

In her brief remarks, she encouraged the teachers to remain resolute in bringing up the children in the right way. She urged them to imbibe the tenet of patience as raising children is not an easy task. On the other hand Dr. Awuzie admonished the children to be obedient to their teachers, “children be obedient to your teachers, be good children and also be God fearing. By so doing, the sky will be your limit”

The Rector also supported the School and donated cartons of biscuits and packs of soft drinks to refresh the children.

Rev Canon Emmanuel Ogudoro the overseer of The Light Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools appreciated the Rector for coming and for her support to the school. He then prayed for the success of her administration.

The Rector was accompanied to the visit by the Polytechnic Librarian Dr.Nwabu Ezemba and the TETFund Director, Dr Helen Nnabuenyi.
