The Skill Development Centre (SDC) of Federal Polytechnic Oko is now fully accredited by National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The Director of the centre Engr. Ogonna Nwokoye made this known.

Engr. Nwokoye further revealed that with this accreditation, the centre is authorized to offer vocational training under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) in the following critical trade areas:

1. Automobile Mechanics

2. Bricklaying, Blocklaying & Concreting

3. Electrical Installations

4. Fashion Design & Garment Making

5. Feeds Production

6. Networking and Systems Security Installations

7. Satellite & CCTV Installations and Maintenance

8. Welding & Fabrication

This remarkable achievement is a product of vision, leadership, and focused implementation — and we proudly acknowledge that all of this has happened within the last 100 days under the dynamic leadership of our dynamic Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie.

Her visionary push for skill empowerment and technical capacity-building has placed Federal Polytechnic Oko at the forefront of national skills development, opening doors of opportunity for our youth, the community, and the entire Southeast region.
