The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has flagged off the free medical outreach for Oko community at Alex Ekwueme Civic Centre Oko on Tuesday 27th May 2025. The medical outreach which is part of activities marking her 100 days in office was in fulfillment of corporate social responsibility.

The outreach featured eye check-ups, distribution of corrective eye glasses, medical tests, medications etc.

In her speech, Dr. Awuzie reiterated that she was motivated by the passion to give back to the society . She assured the Oko community that she has good intentions for them and will work for their interest. She promised to relate well with the community and therefore solicited their maximum support and cooperation.

Dr.Awuzie later inspected various facilities arranged by the medical centre of Federal Polytechnic Oko under the supervision of the Ag. Director Medical Services, Dr. Paul Okose.

The Civic centre was filled up with hundreds of people who came to be attended to. Those who spoke commended the Rector for the initiative and prayed for the success of her administration.
