FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OKO GETS NBTE APPROVAL FOR INCREASED CARRYING CAPACITY FOR SOME PROGRAMMES

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has given approval to Federal Polytechnic Oko to increase the admission stream of the following programmes offered in the Polytechnic; ND, Science Laboratory Technology, ND, Business Administration and Management, and ND, Mass Communication.

The approval was communicated in a letter addressed to the Rector and signed by the Director of Polytechnic and Allied Programmes Department of NBTE, Dr. Mrs Fatima Kabir Umar on behalf of the Executive Secretary. This is sequel to the resource inspection carried out by NBTE from 10th – 12th December 2025 based on invitation by the polytechnic management.

The approval which covers one additional stream for each of the programmes takes effect from the 2025/2026 academic session.

This milestone achievement underscores the commitment and vision of the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie to foster institutional growth and enhance academic reinvention in the Polytechnic.
