The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has celebrated the dual chieftaincy tittles of Nwayikaibeya I of Lude which was conferred on her by the King of Lude Ahiara autonomous community Imo State; and Mmiri doro edo conferred on her by joint traditional rulers council of Orumba North, Anambra State; in recognition of her contributions to societal impact, human capacity building and educational development.

The grand reception which held on 28th December, 2025 at Chief Fidelis Awuzie compound, Ukpor attracted dignitaries which include the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Dr. Basilia Igbokwe, Head of Service of Anambra State, Barr. Mrs Theodora Igwegbe, Management, Governing Council Members and Staff of Federal Polytechnic Oko. Also present were family members, friends and well wishers of the Rector.

Dr. Basilia Igbokwe, described Dr. Chioma Awuzie as her sister and a highly motivated person who has a strong passion for success. She appealed to Federal Polytechnic Oko Staff to support and cooperate with her for the common good.

The colourful event witnessed performance by some cultural troupes. The Rector who was visibly elated made the occasion more lively with her display of magnificent dance steps. In her remarks at the event, the Rector expressed her heart felt joy and appreciation and thanked everyone who came to stand with her, praying for God to keep and distinguish them.
