The late bursar of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Mr. Stephen Udu(Udumili) has been laid to rest in his home town, Ndiagu Akparata Ugwagba Ngbo in Ebonyi State.
Funeral mass was held for him at Mt. Carmel Catholic Parish, Ugwagba prior to the committal of his remains to mother earth.
The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr.Chioma Irene Awuzie led the Management Committee of the Polytechnic, Governing Council Members and Staff members to the funeral.
In her brief speech at the funeral mass, the Rector described late Stephen Udu as a peacemaker and a humble man who discharged his responsibilities as bursar with commitment and great sense of responsibility. She consoled the family of the late bursar and the Polytechnic community urging them to find solace in God who knows everything.


Mr. Emmanuel Uchenna Udu, the late bursar’s son while giving the vote of thanks on behalf of the family, thanked the Rector, the Polytechnic Community and everyone who attended the burial for their support. He urged everyone to always remember the family in prayers.



The burial attracted dignitaries from different walks of life including the Coordinator of Ngbo North Local Government Development Centre, Barr. Uche Okpaga; Coordinator of Ohaukwu Development Centre, Hon. James Ejike Agbo ; the traditional ruler of Ameku, Eze Awoke, Eku I of Ameku among others.
