The Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr.Chioma Irene Awuzie has advocated for unity among Christians stating that we are one body of Christ. She made this known when she attended the Oko Anglican Women Association’s (OAWA) August Meeting at St. John the Divine Church Oko.
She thanked the women for their effort in fostering peace and unity in the family, church and community and enjoined them not to relent. She equally presented her support to the women.



Dr. Awuzie reiterated the commitment of her administration to continuously impact Oko community through corporate social responsibility . She recalled that the Polytechnic availed the community free medical outreach earlier this year and stated that another Polytechnic initiative to impact Oko community will come up next year.
The Rector attended the event in the company of Principal Officers of the Polytechnic along with some Deans and Directors.
Earlier in her presidential address, Barr. Lady Gloria Ezezika, president of OAWA appreciated the Rector for making out time to visit them amidst her tight schedule. She enumerated the activities of OAWA with progress made and challenges confronting them and called for support for the association.


The pioneer and immediate past president of the Council of Knights, Diocese of Aguata and the past President General Joint Council of Knights Anglican Church, Sir Isaiah Ezezika while giving the vote of thanks commended the Rector for her numerous achievements in the Polytechnic within few months in office. He declared that Dr. Awuzie has performed well and deserves to be given full support by everyone.
