EBONYI STAFF IN FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OKO COMMEND RECTOR FOR PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP, PEACE ADVOCACY

Ebonyi State Staff Association (ESSA), Federal Polytechnic Oko chapter has eulogised the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie for clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and infrastructural developments in the institution.

ESSA chairman, Mr. Linus Nwachukwu poured the encomium on the Rector when he led the executive members and some stakeholders of the association on a courtesy visit to the Rector on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Mr. Nwachukwu observed that the resuscitation of the school printing Press, the Poly water and poly bread factory among other infrastructural developments within 100 days in office are testimonies that the Rector, Dr. Chioma Awuzie came prepared.

The association also commended Rector for peace, love and unity that has returned in the Polytechnic, stating that both staff and students can feel the impact of her leadership.

Responding, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko welcomed Ebonyi staff on behalf of the management and expressed joy that peace, love and unity has finally returned in the institution.

She called on those who still sing discordant tunes to join hands with her to move the Polytechnic forward.

“The race to my emergence as the substantive Rector of this Polytechnic should be a big lesson to all of us that it is God who chooses leaders.”

“I thank God for peace and unity that has returned in the Polytechnic. I am happy that the spirit of unity and oneness has returned too.

“Let us realise that we are one and begin to think of how to move this institution forward” she said.
