I WILL BE FAIR TO ALL, RECTOR ASSURES

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has assured the Chapel of the Light, Anglican Communion, Federal Polytechnic Oko that she will be fair to all and will not discriminate.

The Rector made the promise at her office during a courtesy visit by the Chapel Service Committee led by the chaplain of the chaplaincy, Rev Canon Emmanuel Ogudoro and Rev. Canon Iwuchukwu Mbakwe.

She also pledged to continue to maintain neutrality among the three chaplaincies in the campus, stating her believe for the body of Christ, which she said, is not divided.

“I strongly believe in the body of Christ because Christ is not divided. I thank you for your prayers and support given to this administration so far.

“I am impressed with the rousing welcome and warm embrace given to me during the mother’s Sunday which I attended uninvited in your chaplaincy.

“During the graduation ceremony at the Chapel of the Light, I also attended uninvited. I appreciate your neutrality during the Rectorship race. That is what is expected from the church in all contest” she said.

Earlier, the chaplain, Chapel of the Light, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Rev Canon Emmanuel Ogudoro expressed gratitude to God and appreciated Rector, Dr. Chioma Awuzie for granting them the opportunity to come for the visit.

The Chaplain affirmed the support of the Chapel of the Light to the Rector and the entire management and assured Rector of their fervent prayers and support.

“We were shocked when you joined us during the Mother’s Sunday. Your coming spoke volume. During our graduation also, you just heard that something was happening and decided to grace the occasion. We are grateful”

Canon Ogudoro advised Rector not to be discouraged when she meets challenges, saying that challenges are indication that she is doing well.
