The Federation of Ihiala students Federal Polytechnic Oko chapter on 22nd July 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie.

The delegation which was led by Stanley Nnabuife, the National PRO of the association congratulated the Rector on her appointment . According to the PRO, the aim of the visit was to formally congratulate Dr. Awuzie on her appointment as Rector of the institution by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to identify with her on her 52nd birthday. They eulogised the Rector for her sterling performance and pledged to support her in any way they can. They wished her well and prayed for her success in office.

Dr. Awuzie in her remarks charged them to be committed to their studies and to be good ambassadors of Federal Polytechnic Oko. She reiterated her commitment to students welfare and pledged to lift the banner of the Polytechnic high. Principal officers who were present during the visit include the Deputy Rector Administration, Dr Kenneth Ezekwe, the Deputy Rector Academic, Dr. Nkiruka Akabuike and the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Dominic Nwagwu.
