A delegation of Ugwuoba Development Union (UDU) has paid courtesy visit to the Ag.Rector, Dr.Ubaka Chukwugekwu in his office. The National Vice President of the UDU while delivering his speech during the visit stated that they came to show solidarity with Dr.Ubaka who is a worthy son of Ugwuoba following his elevation to the position of Ag.Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko. While acknowledging the role Dr. Ubaka has played in the well-being of their community, the National Vice President of UDU urged him to engage the same zeal with which he served Ugwuoba meritoriously in discharging the duties of his new office in order to leave indelible mark on Federal Polytechnic Oko. He commended members of the Polytechnic Management for supporting the Ag.Rector and admonished them to continue to give him the needed support.
Other members of the delegation who spoke highlighted the contributions Dr.Ubaka has made in Ugwuoba community and congratulated him on his elevation; expressing confidence that he will perform creditably in office. The Ag.Rector who is a member, Board of Trustees, Ugwuoba Development Union as well as a former President General appreciated the delegation for coming to felicitate with him and thanked them for their support. He went on to recount how he became the Ag.Rector exactly six months to his retirement from service without lobbying for the office. He attributed this to the hand work of God and admonished younger ones never to be desperate about occupying positions but rather to keep doing the right thing and put their hope in God because when the time comes God will promote them. He promised to give his best to the advancement of Federal Polytechnic Oko with the little time he has to stay in office.
