The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr.Chioma Irene Awuzie has disclosed that the construction of a new student hostel will soon commence in the Polytechnic.

Dr. Awuzie made this known at the handover of the site for the hostel to the project contractor, Engr Philip Onome. The Rector who was represented by Comrade Chibuzor Asomugha, Dean Student Affairs, assured the contractor of the full co-operation of the management and charged him to deliver quality job and to do so within the time line.

According to Comrade Asomugha, the Rector is a stickler to accountability and wants to see that things are done right.

Earlier, the project consultant while speaking, urged the contractor to do a thorough job, to follow due process and to deliver the project promptly.

In his response the contractor promised to co-operate with the management and to deliver on time. He promised to forge a good relationship with the management while the project lasts.
