OKO POLY TABLE WATER FACTORY RESUMES PRODUCTION FOLLOWING RECTORS INTERVENTION

The Rector, Dr. Chioma Awuzie has achieved another milestone in her vision to reposition Federal Polytechnic Oko for optimum efficiency and productivity following the restoration of operations at the Oko Poly Table Water Factory. Dr. Awuzie was on inspection at the water factory to monitor the progress of work there and was led round the factory by Dr. Onyeka Obi, Coordinator Polytechnic Ventures. It will be recall that production of water stalled at the factory since the past three years. However, following her appointment as Rector in February 2025, Dr. Awuzie promised to restore production at the factory.

 It is worthy to note that with her intervention, production of sachet water has now commenced at the factory.  The Rector who expressed satisfaction at the pace of production congratulated the staff and enjoined them to work assiduously to ensure that they attain production that will serve the needs of the Polytechnic Community and beyond. She promised to continue to give maximum support to the factory to ensure that it excels.

In his response Dr. Onyeka Obi intimated the Rector that production is seamless and the factory has capacity to produce over 500 bags of sachet water daily which will increase progressively.. He assured the Rector that materials being used at the factory are best materials available in the market and stated that the water is of high quality and healthy for consumption.

The Rector was accompanied on the inspection by the Polytechnic Bursar, Mr. Stephen Udu and other Management Staff.
