Federal Polytechnic Oko has emerged the winner of the hybrid quiz competition organized by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) for all tertiary Institutions in the South East zone that offer Estate Management and Valuation.

The Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria is the Federal Government approved regulatory board that regulates the practice of Estate Surveying and Valuation in Nigeria by granting registration license (stamp and seal) to qualified graduates of Estate management and Valuation for private practice nationwide. The quiz competition is in commemoration of the 50 years anniversary of the board which comes up in April.

Each participating institution in the quiz competition for the South East zone was represented by two students. Federal Polytechnic Oko was represented by Mr. Nwaneri Gideon Chigozie and Miss. Elliot Faith Tonye both of Estate Management Department.

At the end of the South East quiz competition, which held on 24th March, 2026, the representatives of Federal Polytechnic Oko beat other institutions to clinch the first position and will consequently represent the zone at the grand finale in Lagos on 8th April 2026.

This outstanding performance underscores the vision and drive for academic excellence which the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr.Chioma Irene Awuzie is pioneering in the Polytechnic. Federal Polytechnic Oko under the leadership of Dr.Chioma Awuzie has continued to record landmark achievements that characterise it as a renowned institution.
