Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has been honoured by the School of Science and Technology in profound appreciation for her examplary leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment towards the betterment of the Federal Polytechnic Oko.
Presenting the award, during their courtesy visit to the Rector, the dean of the school, Dr. Ugonwa Okeke described the Rector as a star who shows the light in the institution.

“We are happy you are showing the light in the institution and that is why we are here to appreciate you for your transformation agenda in the Polytechnic. The printing press is up and running, the Poly water and poly bread are now everywhere in the Polytechnic.
The dean who was accompanied by the Heads of departments and Chief lecturers in the school called on the Rector and management to provide window blind for some offices, allocate more offices to the school and provide office stationeries and equipment.
“We also need more laboratories and installation of the machines in our Chemistry laboratory as we believe that it’s installation will increase the school’s internally generated revenue.

While welcoming the delegation from the school of Science and Technology, Rector, Dr. Chioma Awuzie thanked them for the award and their solidarity to her administration.
She assured them that 2026 TETFund intervention will take care of the laboratories for the school while other requests will be considered in due time.
