The Rector, Dr Chioma Irene Awuzie has recorded another milestone achievement with the resuscitation of Federal Polytechnic Oko bread popularly known as poly bread. It will be recalled that the poly bread used to be the delight of the Polytechnic Community because of its texture and test; unfortunately production ceased over three years ago. However, on her appointment as Rector in February 2025, Dr. Awuzie promised to revive production of the bread in order to improve the IGR portfolio of the Polytechnic.

The relaunching of the bread is a bold statement that Federal Polytechnic Oko is now on the path of restoration under the visionary leadership of Dr.Awuzie. The bread which is produced in a highly hygienic environment and in compliance with best industry standards is back with improved quality to meet the nutritious needs of families and individuals alike. It is expected that the bread will not only serve the needs of the Polytechnic community but also that of the host community and neigbouring towns.

Congratulations to the quintessential Rector, Dr. Chioma Awuzie for this milestone achievement . The Rector has continued to demonstrate that she is on a mission to reposition Federal Polytechnic Oko for enviable height. Kudos to the Rector.
