It has come to the attention of the Management of Federal Polytechnic Oko that some fraudsters are impersonating the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, on Facebook and WhatsApp to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

We hereby clearly state that:

1. The Rector is NOT on Facebook.
2. She does NOT ask anyone for money.
3. She does NOT give out contracts or employment opportunities through social media.
4. The Rector has ONLY ONE phone number.

Anyone claiming to be the Rector or acting on her behalf on Facebook or WhatsApp is a SCAMMER.

We strongly warn the general public to BEWARE and not fall for these tricks. If you chat with or send money to anyone online in the name of the Rector, you do so entirely at your own risk.

We urge everyone to:

1. Report any fake Facebook pages claiming to be the Rector.
2. Block and report any suspicious phone numbers on WhatsApp.
3. Share this message widely to protect others from falling victim.

Let’s all work together to stop these criminals.
