The Ag. Rector, Dr. Ubaka Chukwugekwu Eugene has flagged-off construction of the 2 kilometres perimeter fence with two entrance gates and security House at the Extension site of the institution.

The contract which is part of the 2024 Capital projects of the institution was awarded to Neil and Nelson limited.

Other capital projects flagged-off by the Ag. Rector include: the construction of drainage system, culvert retaining walls and sand filling awarded to Kilval limited.

Godlink Integrated Concept limited got the contract to construct 2 kilometres fence with reinforced concrete retaining wall at Atani Campus.

While declaring the projects for execution, the Ag. Rector, Dr. Ubaka charged the contractors to ensure that the projects were delivered according to specification, hinting that using substandard materials will not be condoned.

He said that the management will return to site in two weeks time to inspect the projects.

Others in Rector’s entourage include the Director of Procurement, Comrade Luke Nweke, Director of Works Services, Dr. Azubuike Nwankwo, Director of Physical Planning, Dr.Nnamdi Umezinwa, Project consultant, Engr. Ogonna Nwokoye among others.
